Can personal data be transferred outside India under DPDP?
Transfers are permitted except to countries or territories restricted by the Central Government notification under Section 16.
Use a blacklist model: map vendors and cloud regions against the restricted list before onboarding subprocessors.
Contractual safeguards and transfer records remain best practice even when a destination is not restricted.
